The RPLidar A2M6 2D RPLidar laser scanner has a scanning range of 360°and18 m.It iscapable of scanning 8000 samples per second. Typical scanning frequency is10 Hz.It communicates through the UART interface, the speed is controlled via PWM.

High sampling frequency
The final appearance of the scanned map depends on the sampling rate. Implemented algorithm and optical design allows to scan8000 samples per second.

Brushless motor based design
The RPLidar A2M6 usesa brushless motorthat eliminates both friction and noise. Thanks to this solution, the scanner works smoothly and quietly. The brushless motor in combination with OPTIMAG technology extends the life of the scanner up to 5 years (24 hours of operation, every day).
