RAK5801is an IO extension of the WisBlock series, manufactured by Rak Wireless. It is a4 mA to 20 mAcurrent loop extension module that allows you to create an IoT solution for analog sensors.It converts the4-20 mAcurrent signalinto the voltage range supported by the WisBlock Core module (MCU) for further digitization and data transmission. The extension needs connection to WisBlockBase BoardandWisBlockCore development modules for proper operation.

WisBlock System Composition.WisBlock Series
WisBlockseries modules produced byRak Wireless. They allow to makeextended IoT projects, which can be used in advanced scenarios and in basic projects. WisBlock system includes: WisBlockBase Board, WisBlockCoredeveloper module, WisBlockSensorsand WisBlockIO expansionmodules. They are used not only for rapid deployment of engineering prototypes, but are also designed to create massive applications ready for industrial deployment.
WisBlock IO Extensions
WisBlock IOmodules allow you to extend your designs and scenarios with additional interfaces, sensors and communication extensions. They also enable connection of modules outside of the WisBlock series. These include keypads, buttons and displays, third party sensors (e.g. Seeed Grove, SparkFun Qwiic), communication modules with LTE NB-IoT, WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC or alternative PoE power supplies. They are mounted according to the schematic shown in the photo opposite. Before commissioning, make sure that the module is properly attached. For proper operation they require connection withWisBlock Coredevelopment module andWisBlock Base Board.
