The adapter allowing to connect the coaxial cable terminated F-plug to the TV antenna outlet used in TV sets and DVB-T tuners.
Construction of the antenna cable
The cable consists of several parts. The most important one, located in the center, is the inner conductor made mostly of copper. The next layer is a dielectric, which is used to isolate the main conductor. In this case plastic fillings are most often used. Coaxial cables also have shield and braid usually made of copper or aluminum. These elements are designed to reduce the amount of interference affecting the cable. The last layer is protection against mechanical damage in the form of outer sheath. In this case PE or PVC are most often used.
