Description
The module is based on a BSS138 system, allowing to exchange data between systems that use voltage levels from the range of from 1.8 V to 6 V. It works in both directions simultaneously, for example, reduces the voltage of 5 V to 3.3 V and raises to 3.3 V to 5 V at the same time. This feature is useful in bidirectional communication protocols, for example, the SPI in full duplex mode. The converter has 8 channels.
Pins aregoldpin connectors(2.54 mm pitch). Thanks to them, it is possible to connect the system with thebreadboardor the main module (for example,STM32DiscoveryorArduino) viawires. The size of the converter - 31.6 x 25.4 mm.
Connection example
In the case of conversion between 3.3 V and 5 V, you should:
- connect pin VCCA/VA to the power supply of 3.3 V.
- connect pin VCCB/VB to connect to a power source of 5 V.
- connect GND to ground. Please note that the ground of the entire system should be connected.
- When at the Ax will be the signal with a voltage of 3.3 V, then on the Bx will appear the signal of 5 V.
- When at the Ax will be the signal with a voltage of 5 V, then on the Bx will appear the signal of 3.3 V.
- There is no need to control the direction.
