Description
Kit for self-assembly enabling a simple connection of a display 2x16 RGB to a minicomputer Raspberry Pi. It communicates through the I2C bus and uses only two pins of the GPIO of the Raspberry Pi(6 to control characters + 3 to control lighting). Kit includes also buttons and a potentiometer. The manufacturer has installed the converter, through which the module communicates via the I2C interface, using only two data lines.
The display can be backlit in different colors, which are selected using the Raspberry Pi.
Board is designed forRaspberry Pirevision 1 and 2. Thanks to the included buttons you can create a user interface in a simple waythat allows you to control the minicomputer without the need to connect a large monitor. Using Raspberry you can read the logical state of the buttons and display symbols, as well as change the illumination color.
