Description
LEDmatrixconsists of64LEDs in orange, arranged in 8 rows and 8 columns. Diodes are connected to sixteen pins, eight on each of the side of the matric at 2.5 mm interval, making it easy to insert in thebreadbaord. All anodes in the same row are connected to one pin and all cathodes in the same column are connected to another pin. The matrix requires for proper operation a multiplex 1:8. We recommend you to use a74HC595andTPIC6B595or just a singleMAX7219 which will do the multiplexing work for you.
Control the LED matrix or 7-segment displays using MAX7219 |
The MAX7219 control system communicates via the SPI bus, which means it can be easily controlled using microcontrollers, including AVR and Arduino modules. The description, together with a library and a sample program for usersof Arduinocan be foundhere.
PCB with MAX7219 driver is not included. |
