Module, using a 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope, can measure the acceleration and angular velocity in three-dimensional space. The system MPU has a hardware unit DMP (Digital Motion Processor) that allows recalculation of the data to the position relative to the Earth.


For communication with the central unit, the popular I2C bus (TWI) is used. The module has, necessary for the correct operation of the system, passive elements. Leads are popular goldpin connectors, for connecting the sensor via wires or for connecting directly to breadboard. Manufacturere has prepared a libraryandsample programin C language.

Since the maximum voltage, with which the system works, is 3.4 V, to work with Arduino, required is a voltage converter. The exceptions are the modules, operating with voltages of 3.3 V, for example,Arduino Pro Mini 328 - 3.3 V/8 MHz.

VDD Supply voltage from 2.3 V to 3.4 V.
GND The ground of the system.
INT Output of the external interrupt - open drain (details in documentation)
FCYNC The sync output. It is not used, it should be connected to ground (e.g. creating a SJ3 jumper on the board).
SCL Clock line of the I2C bus (TWI).
SDA The data line of the I2C bus (TWI).
VIO Outputs of the voltage of the high logic status.
CLK Clock output.
ASCL Clock line of the I2C bus (TWI) for connecting an external magnetometer.
ASDA The data line of the I2C bus (TWI) for connecting an external magnetometer.
