Product description: SGP40 - Qwiic air quality sensor - SparkFun SEN-18345
SGP40 air qualitysensor manufactured by SparkFun is a module that provides accurate measurement of the air quality in your home. SGP40 is based on Sensirion's innovative CMOSens technology using a metal oxide (MOx) sensor.
Sensor measures air quality with humidity compensation. It bases its measurements on the presence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Both the module itself and the VOC algorithm used by it are characterized by high resistance to polluting gases. The SGP40 sensor is very sensitive and reports important VOC data within minutes of power on.
The sensor uses a convenient connection system Qwiicso there is no need for soldering to connect it to the rest of the system. The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is an ecosystem of sensors, actuators, shields and I2C cables that make prototyping faster and less error-prone. All Qwiic-enabled peripherals use a common 4-pin JST connector with 1 mm spacing. This reduces the amount of PCB space required and avoids connection errors.
