Product description: Devil Design Silk 1,75 mm 0,33 kg - Bright Yellow
Filament Silk is a thermoplastic material in a form of fiber, which is used for 3D printing with the FFF method. Material in Bright Yellow colour, is pre-wound on a spool and vacuum packed with moisture absorber. Spool contains 0,33 kg of product. It can be used in all FFF printers, which are not protected from using filaments from external suppliers. Silk is more accurate blend of PLA and PETG materials, which is characterized by a very high gloss.
In our offer of filaments you will also find other materials and colors.
Suggested parameters of printing with the use of felt
Printing temperature | From 225 ° C to 245 ° C |
Table temperature | From 50°C to 60°C |
Print cooling | Optional |
There may be a noticeable swelling of the material coming out of the nozzle when loading the filament or during printing with it. However, this is a completely natural effect, which results from the surface tension of polymers contained in the material. For better results, the manufacturer recommends setting a high power supply during printing and lowering the printing speed.
Due to differences in the construction of printers, the above data should be treated as guidelines and the appropriate values should be determined experimentally. |

Devil Design Silk felt
Beginners, who just start their adventure with 3D printing, very often decide on Silk filament by Devil Design. This is mainly due to its properties, which allow for easy use.
Heat-shrinkable material also ensures trouble-free detachment of printouts from the table, which affects the minimization of the risk of damage to them. The filament has a specific density of 1.23 g/cm³ and a humidity level of ≤ 0.3%.
What else should you know about Devil Design Silk?
When it comes to the glass transition temperature of the Silk filament, it reaches 80°C as measured by the ASTM 3418 method.
Users can count on high colour intensity. What's more, individual layers of the finished prints are practically invisible, which translates into an aesthetic appearance. We invite to get acquainted with other shades of Devil Design felts.
