The picture and sound
The Raspberry Pi has HDMI of version 1.4, through which you can send picture and sound. In addition, the board was equipped with a 4-pin Jack 3.5 mm to connect headphones, speakers or display video through a standard RCA Composite. In our assortment, you will find the necessary wire Jack - RCA.
Operating system
A drive of the raspberry is a microSD memory card. The operating system can be uploaded via the computer with the reader. In our store are available cards with the installed NOOBs software which with the first activation enables choosing from the systems: Raspbian, Pidora Openelec, RaspBMC, RISC OS, Aarch Linux.
Communication
Raspberry has the main communication interfaces which can be found in office computers of PC class. In addition to the previously listed connectors of audio and video, the user has at his or her disposal:
- four USB connectors, to which you can connect, for example, a mouse, a keyboard, a wi-fi card or USB flash drive. If you find that the slots are too short, you can increase their number using an external USB HUB.
- Ethernet connector, that is the ability to directly connect to the LAN network
- GPIO- outputs/inputs with general purpose that can be used to control the LEDs, buttons, driversof engines. Among them are the pins that support interfaces: I2C, SPI and UART. In version B+, the GPIO number was increased from 26 to 40.
Power
As a power source, the system uses the microUSB connector. In practice, this means that to run Rasbperry Pi, you can use the charger for mobile phones with current of at least 1 A.
Accessories compatible with the version of B+
Most modules that use connectors of the GPIO (with the exception of Audio, e.g. Wolfson) will still work correctly with the new version of the raspberry. Devices that use USB ports (e.g. wifi) and HDMI ports, will be compatible. To version B+, it is also possible, connecting a dedicated camera: standard, daily or Noir version without the UV filter.
Accessories that would not work with version B+
Audio shields which use additional connectors (led-out as solder pads), will not work with the new version. Attempt to plug-in the GPIO cable 26-pin, will end with the bending of the connectors of the Raspberry B+. Changed was also the distance between the slots so the existing cases are not compatible with the model B+.
