What is special about E-Ink technology?

E-Inkdisplays use electrophoretic microcapsules. Charged particles suspended in a transparent liquid move whenan electric fieldis applied, making them visible, just like on a normal printed page. E-Ink displays do not require additional backlighting and the viewing angle of the displayed elements reaches approx.180°.
