Product description: Atnel Magic Hercules - addressable LED driver
Module from the Atnel company that allows the user to program the addressed diodes from the WS / SK series using the SPI bus. Works with any type of microcontroller from the AVR/Arduino, ESP, ARM/STM, PIC, Raspberry Pi series. The module is recommended for microcontrollers powered by 3.3 V. Thanks to the Magic Hercules module, you do not need to use external integrated circuits to translate voltage levels from 3.3 V to TTL to LEDs. In addition, Magic Hercules can be used as a WS/SK tape tester - it works for any tape with any color sequence: RGB / BGR / GRB / RGBW.
The manufacturer of the module has prepared a number of guides informing about what Magic Hercules is and how it works, which will greatly facilitate the work with the device:

To run the LED tester mode, connect the 5 V power supply to the module and its WS_OUT input signal , e.g. to a strip with addressable diodes or a graphic display based on these diodes. After turning on the power, the module without the SPI signal at the input turns into a tester and starts sending a sequence of colorful patterns to the tape or display. It is enough to connect the MOSI and SCK pins to the SPI bus of the microcontroller, so that Magic Hercules will automatically turn off the tester mode and switch to the SPI to NZR converter state, i.e. to the signal to control the LEDs.
