Description: Adafruit NeoPixel Shield 5x8 - 40 LED RGB - WS2812B Shield for Arduino
Matrix in the form ofArduino shield, consists of 40 RGB LEDs, of which each one can be managed separately. The elements are distributed evenly in five rows and eight columns. The module needs only oneArduino pin, by default is the output number 6. This kit includes the goldpin connectors for self-soldering.
Board can be powered from pin 5V Arduino or from a separate source with voltage 4 to 6 V. Due to the use of FET transistor module is protected against reverse power connection.
Applied communication protocol provides serial connection of the matrix. Another NeoMatrix should be connected to the output connector, combining with each other respectively, 5V, GND, DOUT and DIN. The manufacturer notes that when using four or more matrices there may not be enough RAM in the Arduino Uno system. You should also note that every following matrix will require increased productivity power.
