Product description: GPS Shield - set with EM-506 GPS receiver for Arduino
The overlay enables direct connection of the EM-506 GPS module withArduino. Thanks to the receiver it is possible to locate the current position with an accuracy of several meters. The system also provides the current time.

Arduinois not the only platform cooperating with the GPS module. Using TX and RX signal output pins of UART interface, the shield can be connected to anyset with microcontroller orminicomputer.These connectors are available on a 10 pin 2.54 mm raster connector. DLINE/UART button is used to switch between Arduino digital pins and UART interface.
Shield also has a connector for 12 mm oval battery, which allows to connect an alternative power source. The ON/OFF switch is used to switch on the battery. There is also an Arduino reset button on the board.
