Description
Expansion module for Particleswithfour relayswith a voltage of250 V / 10 A. The board hasscrew connectors. In addition, the board consists of the prototype fieldfor the connection of additional elements. The module's supply voltage rangesfrom 7 V to 20 V.
Connection
The module communicates via digital signals supplied via pins GPIO Particles. Every channel relay has been assigned to the following pins:
- Relay 1: D3
- Relay 2: D4
- Relay 3: D5
- Relay 4: D6
Management
Relay type SPDT has three output: COMMON (COMM), Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC). The load can be connected between the terminals COMM and NO or COMM and NC. When you connect between the COMM and NO, the output remains open / disconnected when the relay turns off and closes / merges when the relay is activated. Otherwise, the output is closed when the relay is off and opens when it is on.
Power supply
The extension uses a voltage regulatorRT8259providing 5 V for the Particledevice and relays. The maximum output current is 1.2A, which is sufficient to power up the main module and four relays. The module can be supplied through the connector DC Jack 5.5 mm or via screw connection. The system is protected against reverse polarity, the LED reports on the incorrect power connection.
