The main features of the HiFiberry module
- Built-in two RCA slots.
- High quality converter DAC Burr-Brown provides a resolution of 24 bits and operates at speeds up to 192 kHz.
- It has a built-in controlller of sound level which can be controlled via mixer programs like the ALSA mixer.
- Board has special connectors for the GPIO Raspberry Pi, to connect it, you don't need any extra wires or adapters. It works with minicomputer in version 3 B, 2 B, Zero, B+ and A+.
- The device is powered with a Raspberry Pi, it does not require additional power supply.
- It has a built-in EEPROM memory typical for a standard HAT, thanks to which, in the future, the Raspberry Pi will automatically recognize the device. This function is not supported.
- The device works withthe Raspberry in version A+, B+, 2 B and 3 B.
- The weight of the board is 20 g, dimensions are 55 x 65 x 15 mm.
Connection
HiFiBerry installation is very simple, you just need to inserta memory card into the card reader of the computer, then run the configuration program and select the appropriate board and the operating system. The app will automatically install the operating system with appropriate driver. After displacing the card to Raspberry Pi, HiFiberry board will already be properly configured.
Description of the installation for a finished operating system can be foundin Internet and the list of supported systems is available on the website of the manufacturer.
The configuration program HiFiBerry is very simple and intuitive.
